IRC is seeking a energetic, highly organized and experienced administrator to support the Emergency Response Team based in Bangkok. The Cashier / Finance Officer will arrange the payables / receivables
process for emergency response team to ensure handle in professionally manner.
Cashier / Finance Officer - Emergency Response Team
Location: Bangkok Office, Emergency Response Team International Rescue Committee
Reports to: Finance Controller
Responsibilities
1. Manage the ERT petty cash system in compliance with IRC rules and regulations
2. Effectively manage cash and bank deposits/withdrawals and reconcile against bank uploads
3. Coordinate closely with ERT staff to ensure that expense claims are checked and paid promptly
4. Prepare and pre-check the correctness and accuracy of all financial and finance-related documents
5. Follow-up invoices for materials and supplies from procurement staff and program staff for payment
6. Manage and follow-up IRC ERT staff advances to ensure compliance with IRC rules and procedures
7. Update daily cash flow spreadsheets
8. Oversee payments for ERT supplementary feeding program, ensuring prompt and accurate payments are made
9. Coordinate with ERT to manage payment processes for ERT staff
10. Prepare financial commitment reports and submit to ERT Finance Controller
11. Assist IRC ERT staff in opening bank accounts
12. Assist with the payment of utility bills (telephone, electricity etc) for international
accommodation
13. Assist ERT Finance Controller to perform other duties as requested.
14. Alert ERT Finance Controller to any suspected discrepancies and/or improprieties in expenditure and accountability of project funds
15. Ensure safe and responsible practices for financial management and cash security (e.g., cash handling procedures, cash payments/transactions)
Requirements
Accounting or Finance certificate/degree
Highly organized and self supervising
Minimum 3 years experience in bookkeeping and cashier roles
Good English and computer literate with strong excel/database skills
Willing to learn new tasks and take on responsibility, comfortable working in a flexible environment and interacting with staff in regional, country and HQ.
